We don’t have a Chick-Fil-A up here in NY.  However, come Jan. the snowbird in me flies south, (compliments of Farmer Fred and his pickup truck) to winter where it is warm.  One of our first stops after arriving in Florida is the local Chick-Fil-A.  I love the crispy sandwich with their delicious sauce.  BTW the fries are also good dipped in this sauce.

What goes into Chick-Fil-A Sauce?

What is the secret in the sauce? Well, if I knew for sure, then it wouldn’t be a secret sauce, now would it? So, I had to give it my best guesstimate. I also added my own secret flavor enhancer, my all-time favorite Umami Powder.  If you haven’t bought any yet, get some today. It is so worth it.

SIS (simple is smart) My Copy-Cat Recipe for Chick-Fil-A Sauce

The base for this sauce is honey mustard and mayonnaise. I used two different mustards to add complexity to the flavor. I also added my favorite flavor enhancer, the Umami Powder/shiitake mushroom powder. The other ingredient I’ve added is BBQ sauce. I like Sweet Baby Ray’s sweet and spicy. BBQ sauce. That little extra tang adds just the tiniest zing to the sauce. Not enough to notice, but enough to wake us your taste buds a bit. That is my SIS copy-cat Chick-Fil-A sauce. So go dip in and enjoy some finger-licking good Chick-Fil-A Sauce with my Chicken Tenders.
