Vegan Ranch Dressing

Are you a fan of creamy, tangy ranch dressing but looking for a vegan option? Look no further than vegan ranch dressing! This dairy-free alternative is just as delicious as the original, but without the animal products.

Made with a base of vegan mayo, vegan ranch dressing is seasoned with the classic flavors of garlic, onion, dill, and parsley. Some recipes even include a touch of lemon juice for extra tanginess. Not only is vegan ranch dressing a great option for those following a plant-based diet, but it’s also a healthier choice overall.

Traditional ranch dressing can be high in saturated fat and calories, but vegan ranch is often made with healthier ingredients like nuts or tofu. But just because it’s vegan doesn’t mean it’s lacking in flavor or versatility.

Use it as a dip for Vegan Cauliflower Buffalo Bites.   Use as a dressing for Vegan Broccoli salad or sandwiches, or even as a topping for pizza. You won’t even miss the non-vegan version! So whether you’re a longtime vegan or just looking to switch up your condiment game, give vegan ranch dressing a try. Your taste buds (and your health) will thank you.

SIS – TIP   Simple is Smart

I love a creamy salad dressing.  Instead of cashew cream try using vegan mayo. I love both Veganaise and Hellman’s Vegan Mayonnaise.  Add a little acid – lemon juice or vinegar and fresh herbs for a bright creamy delicious dressing. Use the dressing as a dip, make a pasta salad or top you favorite garden salad with it.

Neuro-Nutritional Nugget - Nutritional Yeast

Nutritional yeast is a fantastic source of nutrition for the brain. This superfood is packed with essential vitamins and minerals that are crucial to maintaining optimum brain health.

Nutritional yeast is an excellent source of vitamin B12, which is essential for the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system. This vitamin is also essential for the production of red blood cells, which carry oxygen to the brain. Without enough vitamin B12, the brain can suffer from cognitive decline and even dementia.

Another essential nutrient found in nutritional yeast is zinc. Zinc is a vital mineral that plays a crucial role in brain function. It helps to improve cognitive function, memory, and overall brain health. Zinc is also essential for maintaining a healthy immune system, which is vital for protecting the brain from damage and disease.

Nutritional yeast is also a great source of other B vitamins, including thiamine, riboflavin, and niacin. These vitamins are essential for the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system. They help to improve memory, concentration, and overall cognitive function. They also help to protect the brain from damage and disease.

In addition to its many brain-boosting benefits, nutritional yeast is also an excellent source of protein, fiber, and other essential nutrients. It is low in calories and fat, making it an ideal food for those who are watching their weight. Nutritional yeast is also gluten-free, making it a great option for those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance.

Ingredients for Vegan Ranch Dressing:

Vegan Mayonnaise: I like to use either Hellman’s or Veganaise.

Rice Vinegar: Adds some extra acidity to the dressing.

Plant Based Milk: Used to thin the dressing to a pourable consistancy.

Chives: add color, crunch, and onion flavor.

Smoked Paprika: I use for color and love the hint of smoke

Nutritional Yeast: is a complete protein and has a nutty cheesy flavor

Fresh or Dried Dill: Fresh is best, but dried will work.

Roasted Garlic Powder:  The powder gives more flavor than the diced dried garlic.
