Dog Cookies - Star Worthy

These cookies have a secret ingredient that dogs love. With this recipe you will be Bacon the best ever dog cookies.

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour or all purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp bacon grease
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley


  • preheat oven to 300 degrees
  • Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix to combine

  • Knead the dough to form a cohesive ball.
  • Roll dough out to about 1/4 thick. If dough is too dry to roll add additional broth
  • Cut out cookies using a dog bone cutter. 1 inch size for small dogs, 3 inch size for bigger dogs.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non stick cooking spray
  • Place cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet

  • Bake cookies at 300 degrees for 40 - 60 minutes or until a deep golden brown.


If you don't have bacon grease you can use coconut oil or vegetable shortening.  All are great for maintaining a dogs' shiny coat. 
Water or milk can be used in place of the broth. 
Don't have a dog bone cutter - roll dough into 1 inch balls and flatten with a glass.
